At one point, the rumor was that Lana was a minor character in the Chesterfield game, a videogame never released in the states. After playing though the game, no character was seen matching her description. However, looking at the official art, doesn't there seem to be a bit of resemblance between Lana and the main character?

Other rumors state that Lana was based on Princess Palutena, and again, the resemblance is quite uncanny. Plus as an added bonus making the connection even stronger, Kid Icarus was listed as the head of Palutena's guard in the instruction booklet to the game.

Now, through the miracle of cheap Photoshop edits, let's see what happens when we combine Palutena with Chesterfield guy's color scheme.

Hmm... looks vaguely familiar.

Could it be true? Could Lana really be the daughter of the beloved princess from Mt. Icarus and obscure hero from Chesterfield? Sadly, we'll probably never know, but just think about it.
